COVID-19 and your photo session
The safety of your family during my photo sessions has always been at the top of my professional priorities.
Even more so right now, we must continue looking after each other.

JANUARY 2022 – open for business
In accordance with the UK Government’s latest guidance, I have resumed all types of photo sessions and continue to keep safety measures in place – please read on for full details. My diary is open for Spring 2022 and beyond; please get in touch to enquire about availability.
As ever, you can book with full confidence – all new bookings come with a Covid-safe guarantee. Should we be unable to shoot on our booked date due to illness or national/local restrictions, you will be given the option between rescheduling or receiving a full refund of your session fee.
(Please note – I am fully vaccinated and test for COVID using rapid tests prior to each shoot and client appointment.)
COVID-19 MEASURES and How THEY Affect Family Photography
My family and photo sessions will continue, wherever local and national restrictions make it possible, with the addition of a number of safety measures that are in place to protect both your family and mine. Here are more details about what this means for your session.
“open space” family sessions on location
Outdoor photo sessions lend themselves very well to social distancing because of the open spaces in which we shoot. I will carry out all outdoor sessions in accordance to current rules and advice, including keeping a 2-metre (or greater) safe distance from you at all times (yay for telephoto lenses!).
I know plenty of great outdoor locations, including a number that are quiet, unspoiled and largely secluded – therefore ideal to keep our distances away from others! To check availability for your preferred date, please use the form below to contact me.

newborn sessions at home / in the studio
When we work in an enclosed space such as my studio or your home, social distancing can be harder to maintain, so we have to take a few extra precautions.
During all indoor photo sessions, I will:
- Wear a FFP2 face mask for the duration of our shoot;
- Wash/sanitise hands frequently;
- Keep a 1-metre (or greater) safe distance from you whenever possible;
- For newborn sessions, work alongside parents on posing to minimise direct contact with baby.
In addition, for sessions taking place in the studio, I will:
- Deep-clean and sanitise all hard surfaces and wash fabric props and blankets before each session;
- Serve only individually packaged snacks and drinks during your visit.
your studio reveal session
Meeting at the studio to review their session’s gallery remains a priority for my clients, and for me as well. It is the best way to ensure that you see your photos at their best, and receive a full service and the best advice from me.
Whilst Government regulations permit it, we will continue with our Reveal sessions at the studio. All safety and hygiene measures listed above apply to portrait viewings as well.
Should we be placed under tighter restrictions, or should you prefer this for health reasons, our viewing sessions will take place online using video conferencing with screen-sharing via Zoom.

I will update this page as more information becomes available. In the meantime, please message or call me on 07941 355027 if you’d like to pencil in a date for a photo session, or if you have any questions on family and newborn shoots with safe distancing.
