I have been working with the W family for several years, photographing their gorgeous little girl since she was a baby. At every portrait session, Mum and Dad asked me to create something special for their home.

We went for a large, hardwood framed canvas print the first time. Multi-aperture frames the second time. And the third time, on the occasion of the unforgettable bluebells photo shoot featured on this post, they chose a stunning arrangement of one of my most popular product, the metallic gloss clusters. They were so kind to allow me to photograph their newest photo wall in situ at their home, so I though I would share a couple of snaps. It looks wonderful and eye-catching – the gloss of the panels really makes the colours pop. Mum tells me how much she enjoys seeing the image display every times she comes up and down the stairs.

Thinking about a family portrait?

family photo shoot is great fun. We’ll excitedly plan it all together beforehand. We will then spend a couple of hours together getting to know each other, all the while taking away beautiful memories and making them into art.

But what happens after the session – when it is time to decide what to do with your photos?

Everyone Loves Digital! But…

Digital images are a very popular choice for many families, and understandably so. From a single, high resolution image you can create your own prints for friends and family and for your own album or photobook. You can share your photos freely on social media, or load them to your phone or computer as striking wallpapers.

But all too often, people simply leave their digital images in the online domain. Don’t get me wrong, all the best intentions are there – most families come away from their digital purchase intending to print their enlargements and frame them for their walls. But real life gets in the way and the USB stick ends up in a drawer, never again to see the light of day. And that is a less-than-ideal end to an otherwise great experience!

Beautiful Wall Art for Your Home

I always encourage my clients to look beyond digital images and look at the bigger picture (pun intended!) – to display their portraits around their home, so that they can bring joy to their life every day. Using my expertise to create and deliver a wall art arrangement for your home is a great way of maximising your bespoke photography investment and ticking a big item off your to-do list, too. All you need is an idea of where you would like your photos to be displayed, and a measurement of the space you have available. I will advise you on the best styles and sizes to match your home decor and budget, and deliver a high quality product that you will love.
