I’d like you to think of your family photoshoot as less of a performance, and more of an experience. One that you can relive, in pictures, over and over again.

What would you like to remember?

It’s so easy to create your perfect family portraits. Just choose a snippet of your everyday life that is especially meaningful to you – a walk to your favourite spot, a day on the beach, or simply storytime and cuddles on the sofa.

I am a professional family photographer with over 16 years’ experience in creating artistic portraits of happy families. I’ll be there, camera in hand, to capture these moments for you, always unobtrusive, in my signature classic-contemporary style.

Family Portraits Outdoors

An outdoor family photoshoot is the ultimate family portrait experience. It is colourful, easygoing and each session has its own unique vibe. If you like images that are are infused with magic and emotion, there is nothing that compares to shooting outside! And with the right local knowledge and a bit of imagination, the possibilities are endless.

Where can we go?

Pretty much anywhere you like. I regularly work in Greater and Central London, Winchester, Reading, Newbury and all along the Hampshire and Sussex coast, including West Wittering, the Isle of Wight and the New Forest.

International photoshoots can also be arranged, so if you would like me to capture your holiday memories, do get in touch.

Looking for inspiration?

I can help you pick the perfect location for our photo adventure. Together, we will create a set of unforgettable images celebrating your family’s unique love and connection – and we’ll have a great time along the way.

Three great reasons to choose an outdoor family photoshoot.

Flexible timing

All year round, we use natural light at any time of day with incredible results. I work at sunrise, sunset and anything in between, weekdays and weekends.

Importantly, I will work around you, rather than the other way around. You won’t need to compromise on your family’s schedule or your children’s routine.

A wide choice of locations

I know all the best places! From scenic views and iconic spots, to secluded little spaces no-one knows, I can recommend the perfect location for your outdoor family photoshoot, based on distance, accessibility and your children’s age.

And if you already have somewhere special in mind, that’s perfect, too – I’ll meet you there!

Lots of action (and breaks)

Running, wildlife exploring, swimming, climbing and playing games all make wonderful photoshoot activities to bring everyone together, and really make your family portraits come to life.

And if it’s time for a break? Never a problem. We will pause whenever necessary – be it for a snack, a cuddle or simply to catch our breaths.

The photos she produced were absolutely fabulous. She seemed to spend very little time behind the camera and so it was it was surprising that she delivered dozens and dozens of great photos. Our boys were really relaxed straight away and so the photos really capture their individual characters.

The photo installation we have in the living room always draws complimentary praise and it brings a real smile to our faces too.

Family Portraits at Home

A family photo shoot in the comfort of your own home is a great alternative to an outdoor session. It’s so easy and convenient. Everyone always looks so happy and in their element. The children are free to come and go as they please, and no-one ever feels under pressure to perform for the photographer.

I regularly visit my clients at home in Basingstoke and all around Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey and beyond – including Reading, Newbury, Winchester, Richmond and Greater and Central London.  And if you’re outside of these areas, let’s talk!  I can and do travel nationally and internationally for my sessions.

Choose a photoshoot at home because…

It's intimate & personal

We’ll capture you, as you are, in your space. In the privacy of your own home, you can be yourself, without worrying of feeling self-conscious in a public space.

Your home becomes the backdrop of our shoot, with all those personal touches that tell me about your life, your passions and your personality. Storytelling comes so naturally when we’re sharing that space.

It's flexible

A home shoot is the ultimate in flexibility. We can shoot come rain or shine, all year round, no matter how old  your children are.

Babies can keep their sleeping and feeding routines, and older children will love showing me their favourite home hobbies and games (and being photographed doing them!). Visiting or nearby grandparents can also join us for the shoot – a beautiful addition to your family portrait.

It's varied

Whatever the size or location of your home, you would be surprised at the image variety we can create at your family photoshoot. Together, we will decide which rooms are most suitable for your session, depending on the layout and the amount of natural light.

Gardens, living rooms, master bedrooms and nurseries are always great candidates, but we may even go for something a bit different and even use the kitchen or bathroom!

How do my family photoshoots work?

Your family photoshoot is a completely bespoke experience, from our first contact to the delivery of your order. Here is my whole process, broken down in five easy steps.

1 - Pre-shoot chat

After our initial phone or email contact, I will invite you to meet me at my studio or via a video call. It’s a great opportunity to share ideas for your session, answer all your questions and gather inspiration for the many exciting ways to display your portraits.

It’s also a great way to start getting to know each other, so that you will feel more comfortable on your shoot day.

Payment for your session fee is taken at this stage.

2 - Your photoshoot

On the big day, we will meet at our agreed time and location, and start exploring together.

There is never any rush. Usually, a photoshoot may take between an hour and a half and two hours, but ultimately we go at the pace set by you, pausing whenever necessary to make sure everyone is happy.

3 - Image editing
After your session, my editing job begins. I will make a strong selection of the best images from the day (usually 50+) and edit them to perfection, so that each one of them truly shines.

My signature editing includes colour and contrast, cropping for best composition, some gentle skin retouching and a pinch of magic as standard! Natural colour editing is my speciality, so that your portraits never fall out of style.

The editing process takes approximately two weeks.

4 - The Big Reveal!

A couple of weeks after your photo session, we will meet again at my studio (or via video call) for our Reveal appointment. Here, we will review your fully edited image gallery together, and create your portrait order.

During this 60-90 minute session, you will be able to choose from a wide range of display options for the style that best suits your images and personal taste. Payment for your order is taken at this stage.

I will be there at every step of the way, to guide and advise you in a completely pressure-free manner. Hard sell is not my style, and not the experience I would like you to have.

5 - Order delivery
Your order will be ready approximately two to six weeks after your viewing appointment. Production times vary according to the product ordered.

I check every order personally for quality and hand-deliver all orders within 15 miles of the studio. Collection can also be arranged.

If you live further away, don’t worry – I am always happy to help you arrange a courier delivery anywhere in the world!
