Outdoor Family Photoshoot

Breathtaking natural backdrops for your family portraits
in Hampshire, Berkshire & London

An outdoor family photoshoot is the ultimate family portrait experience. It is colourful, easygoing and each session has its own unique vibe. If you like images that are are infused with magic and emotion, there is nothing that compares to shooting outside! And with the right local knowledge and a bit of imagination, the possibilities are endless.

Take a few hours out of your day for a family photoshoot with me.

Let’s pick the perfect location and set off on our adventure. Together, we will create a set of unforgettable images celebrating your family’s unique love and connection – and we’ll have a great time along the way.

I am a professional family photographer with over 15 years’ experience in creating artistic portraits of babies, children and families at a variety of locations in Greater and Central London, Winchester, Reading, Newbury and all along the Hampshire and Sussex coast, including West Wittering, the Isle of Wight and the New Forest.  I also travel around Europe and beyond – just ask me for a quote!

Three great reasons to choose an outdoor family photoshoot.

Flexible timing

All year round, we use natural light at any time of day with incredible results. I work at sunrise, sunset and anything in between, weekdays and weekends.

Tell me about the style you like, and I will advise on when and where will work best. But crucially, I will work around you, rather than the other way around.

You can trust me to produce a stunning set of family portraits for you whenever suits you,  without having to compromise on your family’s schedule or your children’s routine.

A wide choice of locations

I know all the best places! From scenic views and iconic spots, to secluded little spaces no-one knows, I can recommend the perfect location for your outdoor family photoshoot, based on distance, accessibility and your children’s age.

The beach, historic ruins, museums, fields of wildflowers or country trails are all great options.  And if you already have somewhere special in mind, that’s perfect, too – I regularly travel for my shoots and will meet you there!

Lots of action (and breaks)

Children love being outside – with so much to experience and plenty of spaces to explore, they will stay engaged and interested for a long time!

Running, wildlife exploring, swimming, climbing and playing games all make wonderful photoshoot activities to bring everyone together, and really make your family portraits come to life.

And if it’s time for a break? Never a problem. We make moments happen organically, and that inclusing pausing whenever necessary – be it for a snack, a cuddle or simply to catch our breaths!

The photos she produced were absolutely fabulous. She seemed to spend very little time behind the camera and so it was it was surprising that she delivered dozens and dozens of great photos. Our boys were really relaxed straight away and so the photos really capture their individual characters.

The photo installation we have in the living room always draws complimentary praise and it brings a real smile to our faces too.

How do my family photoshoots work?

family photoshoot hampshire

A family photoshoot with me is truly all about you. Understanding your family’s personality and your final goals for your portraits is key to delivering results you will absolutely love.

But while your family photoshoot is a completely bespoke experience, it doesn’t need to be a long or involved process – your time is precious!

Here is my whole process, broken down in five easy steps.

1 - Pre-shoot chat
After our initial phone or email contact, I will invite you to meet me at my studio or via a video call. It’s a great opportunity to share ideas for your session, answer all your questions and gather inspiration for the many exciting ways to display your portraits.

It’s also a great way to start getting to know each other, so that you will feel more comfortable on your shoot day.

Payment for your session fee is taken at this stage.

2 - Your photoshoot
On the big day, we will meet at our agreed time and location, and start exploring together.

There is never any rush. Usually, a photoshoot may take between an hour and a half and two hours, but ultimately we go at the pace set by you, pausing whenever necessary to make sure everyone is happy.

3 - Image editing
After your session, my editing job begins. I will make a strong selection of the best images from the day (usually 50+) and edit them to perfection, so that each one of them truly shines.

My signature editing includes colour and contrast, cropping for best composition, some gentle skin retouching and a pinch of magic as standard! Natural colour editing is my speciality, so that your portraits never fall out of style.

The editing process takes approximately two weeks.

4 - The Big Reveal!

A couple of weeks after your photo session, we will meet again at my studio (or via video call) for our Reveal appointment. Here, we will review your fully edited image gallery together, and create your portrait order.

During this 60-90 minute session, you will be able to choose from a wide range of display options for the style that best suits your images and personal taste. Payment for your order is taken at this stage.

I will be there at every step of the way, to guide and advise you in a completely pressure-free manner. Hard sell is not my style, and not the experience I would like you to have.

5 - Order delivery
Your order will be ready approximately two to six weeks after your viewing appointment. Production times vary according to the product ordered.

I check every order personally for quality and hand-deliver all orders within 15 miles of the studio. Collection can also be arranged.

If you live further away, don’t worry – I am always happy to help you arrange a courier delivery anywhere in the world!
