Natural and Emotive Maternity Photography
Capture the bloom & beauty of your pregnancy

Why Book a Maternity Photoshoot?
Simple answer: because you’ll want to remember the extraordinary look and feel of growing your baby inside your body.
It’s a feeling unlike any other, even if this is not your first pregnancy – every time feels different. Creating a gallery of this special time in your life is a beautiful way of remembering the very unique way that your pregnancy looks and feels.
I’m a maternity photographer with over 18 years’ experience capturing pregnancy portraits from my Basingstoke studio and at beautiful locations across Hampshire, Berkshire and London.
My natural and intimate maternity photoshoots take place at 30-35 weeks of gestation and are completely tailored around you.
Cristina has an incredible eye and takes the most beautiful, natural photographs.
Most importantly, she is incredible at making you feel comfortable and at ease. She made me feel so beautiful during my pregnancy with our woodland maternity shoot.

An Experience to Share
Maternity Photoshoot with Your Partner
Expecting a new baby is not just Mum’s experience – your partner will be every bit as excited!
For this reason, including them in the photoshoot is a very important part of my maternity photography.
I am looking to capture the excitement you share for your baby’s arrival, as well as celebrating your last weeks as a family of two.
Your portraits will be filled with your love for each other, and for the baby you’re bringing into the world.

Pregnancy Photos with Older Siblings
If there are already other children in the family, it is lovely to include them in the maternity session so that they, too, can be part of this chapter of your family’s story.
The focus of the session will still be your pregnancy, but a part of our session will channel the vibe one of my family photoshoots – lighthearted, playful and filled with connected moments.
There will be plenty of opportunities for heartfelt family captures, as well as extra focus on your children’s playful interaction with your bump.

Maternity Shoots in the Studio or On Location

Where your maternity session takes place is a deeply personal choice, and there’s no wrong answer. It comes down to the mood you want to capture, and how you would like to display your finished portraits in your home.
Studio Maternity Photoshoot
Choose a studio session for a minimalist, intimate look.
Bright, airy and filled with natural light, my studio is the perfect backdrop for a more intimate maternity photoshoot. It opens several possibilities:
- Artistic bump shots with a soft feel, shot using natural light
- Cosy, home-inspired set-ups in warm neutral palettes
- Multiple wardrobe changes, including full use of my client wardrobe for a variety of looks
- A selection of outdoor portraits to finish, weather permitting.
Maternity Session On Location
An outdoor photo session is a wonderful choice for those who seek a more wide-open feel and natural textures.
I can suggest a beautiful location near you, or we can go somewhere that holds particular meaning to you, like your favourite walk or a special spot – anywhere that is part of your story. An outdoor maternity session is perfect for:
- Families with a new sibling on the way
- Seasonal colour, texture and light
- Dramatic, scenic shots with a strong natural element.
Still deciding? Get in touch and I’ll help you find the perfect fit.

What’s the Cost of a Maternity Photoshoot?
I offer two options for your maternity photoshoot.
The Short Story, my bespoke mini session, is a great option if you are looking for a set number of images at a fixed cost. Perfect for a small but powerful keepsake of your pregnancy.
The Full Story is ideal if you’d like a longer, more flexible session and more images, . With a greater choice of locations and a much larger gallery to choose from, it is the choice for those who want to capture more details and a deeper narrative to this unique moment of their lives.
The Full Story is also the best option if you are thinking of booking a newborn photoshoot after your little one arrives, as the creative fee is a one-off payment that applies to all your future sessions, too.
You can expect to invest between £850 and £2,000 in your maternity portraits, depending on the package you choose and whether you’d like to add fine art albums and framed prints to your order.
When Is the Best Time To Book Your Maternity Photoshoot?
After your 20-Week Scan
The ideal time to get in touch is right after your 20-week scan. This will give us the best chance of booking your session in the ideal window, which is between 30 and 35 weeks along.
Around this time, Mums usually feel better after the discomfort of the first trimester, and they feel a burst of energy prior to the arrival of their baby. Their baby bumps are round and well-defined, which makes for beautiful, artistic portraits.

And last, but not least…
A Photoshoot for Your Newborn

The story continues with the arrival of your little one. The vast majority of my maternity clients choose to continue documenting their incredible journey with a newborn photoshoot in the first few days or weeks of their new baby’s life.
This can take place at your home or in my studio, again depending on the look you prefer and your family’s convenience.
You can book your newborn session at the same time as your maternity session by taking advantage of the incredible value of The Full Story session fee.
Or if you would rather wait a few weeks to allow little one to settle in, we can schedule a little further out – I photograph babies as newborns up to 8 weeks.
