The summer is a fantastic time to be in Italy – I should know, since I am a native 🙂 My family and I went for a two week break in my home land of Sicily. We hadn’t visited for two years, and of course my youngest had never been, so I was really looking forward to seeing how my children would react to the sea and warm sunshine. And of course I was ready to capture it all on camera!
We had a lovely time and came back with many memories that will keep us warm on those cold wintery days ahead.
Here are some of my very favourites from our stay. The beach shots were taken on Magaggiari beach in Terrasini, the indoors shots are in my mother’s beautiful home, and the other location is San Giovanni degli Eremiti, a 12th century Arab-Norman church in Palermo. This latter place I would strongly recommend to any visitors to Palermo. It is one of the most stunning historical monuments I have ever had the fortune to visit!
These are just beautiful. Looks like a beautiful place….I wish I could go!! 😛
