The past few weekends have been incredibly busy with what is possibly my favourite type of family photo shoot – autumn sessions in the colourful British outdoors! The multicoloured show of foliage this year seems stronger than any I have seen in the past. And with such mild temperatures, we’ve been able to truly make the most of this magic time of the year. Two weeks ago, I met with the F family, whose little daughter, K I originally photographed a couple of years ago on a similarly colourful October day. With a new kiddie on the block, the handsome R, we knew it was time to update the family portraits. Mum and Dad share a passion for candid family portraits- so I donned my (partial!) invisibility cloak and followed them with my camera as they explored the grounds of RHS Wisley, near Guildford. I felt very privileged to be there to record so many funny, emotional, silly, playful moments for this sweet family. As I work my way through the full editing of this photo session, this sweet moment jumped at me. Mum holding on to Rory, mid-spin, both giggling and feeling slightly dizzy. Nose to nose, cheek to cheek, mummy to baby. I don’t know about you, but I got a major case of the warm fuzzies!
