Let me tell you a little story about this beautiful newborn baby girl I met last week.
Annabelle surprised everyone by making an early arrival into the world. Mum and Dad were on holiday in Scotland when, six weeks before her due date, she decided that it was, in fact, “time”. Mum told me the dramatic and yet exciting story of her early labour, the helicopter airlift back to Surrey, and those early times spent in the hospital. Unlikely that she would have envisaged her birth story to take this turn, but fortunately this story has a beautiful, happy and healthy ending. Fast forward six weeks…

Just a couple of days’ short of this sweet baby girl’s due date, I I had the pleasure of meeting her for her newborn photo session at her family home in Woking. Mum and Dad told me ahead of time that they were looking for beautiful, natural portraits – just honest images full of soul. They were so clearly in love with each other, and with the little life they’ve brought into the world, it was moving to see and a treat to photograph. Annabelle was completely chilled out and happy, peaceful in her sleep and alert and calm when she woke up. I absolutely loved photographing this beautiful new family and documenting the love they share, the hours just went quickly!
