I have such a passion for outdoors family portraiture. There is something intensely soothing about the natural environment, and how great it makes everyone feel – children and adults alike. I always look forward to my yearly spring family portraits event, taking place every April and themed around the bluebells blooming. It is one of the first opportunities of the year, to bring my families outdoors and enjoy the first warmth and colour of the season.
Spring Family Portraits in the Bluebells
This year’s bluebells mini photoshoots were a great success. I absolutely loved photographing these families of clients old and new, at a particularly picturesque private location near Alton. The weather was mild and dry, and everyone – myself included! – had been looking forward to the day. It’s almost like the children, too, relished the opportunity to be outside again after the long winter. There was much running around, jumping and exploring our little corner of heaven.
First up is this young lady, who I had last seen when she was just four months old. Fast forward five years, and here she is! Elsie’s super smiles and cheeky personality made her a complete pleasure to photograph. Thank you so much to the P family – including Brian, the smiley pitbull! – for coming along and being always such a joy to spend time with.
