Say what you want about the British weather, the Spring is a time of great beauty in this country. From March onwards, daffodils, bluebells and all manners of wildflowers festoon the already pretty countryside, and it is a fantastic time to be outside. It is one of the busiest times of year for photographers, as we receive so many requests from our lovely client families to capture their portraits with some very season-specific backdrops, like bluebells. These beautiful flowers are only around for a short time each year, so we act quick!
One of my favourite bluebell sessions from last year was with this adorable family, whom I have had the pleasure to photograph once before, when their little girl was very young. A whole year-and-a-bit later, little Megan was not just walking but zooming all around, followed (or better still, chased!) by big brother Luke in this most stunning of woodland locations near Winchester. I always love photographing this family as they are complete naturals in front of the camera, and never hold back the love and laughter that holds them together.
