It’s exactly a year to the day since I first met Leighton. He first came to see me with his Mummy and Daddy as a bitty little newborn baby for his very first portraits. I was instantly charmed by his big eyes and sweet temperament. I still love the images from that newborn portrait session! Leighton has just turned a year old and I was so happy to welcome him and his family back to my studio earlier today, for his first year portraits (which also involved cake, as you will see in another blog post very soon!).
I love using my natural light studio as a comfy “home from home” where families can relax and be themselves. It is a great opportunity to capture simple and happy family moments. Leighton had a great time rolling around, crawling and playing on the bed, both on his own and with Mum and Dad. As I get ready to edit the full photo session, I wanted to post one of the images that caught my eye. A sweet smile from a beautiful little boy wrapped in beautiful bright light. Does it get any better than this? Not in my eyes it doesn’t.
